SAC has become one of the world's leading quality driven manufacturers of Portland Cement.

Portland Cement is a "hydraulic cement (cement that not only hardens by reacting with water but also forms a water-resistant product) produced by pulverizing clinkers consisting essentially of hydraulic calcium silicates, usually containing one or more of the forms of calcium sulfate as an inter ground addition." Clinkers are nodules (diameters, 0.2-1.0 inch [5-25 mm]) of a sintered material that is produced when a raw mixture of predetermined composition is heated to high temperature.

We produce:

• AASHTO Type I/II Portland Cement.
• ASTM Type I/II Portland Cement with Limestone Addition
• James Hardie Cement

Usage

• AASHTO and ASTM: A general-purpose cements suitable for all uses where the special properties of other types are not required.

Exceeds

• The standard chemical and physical requirements of the following specifications: ASTM C 150 For type I and type II cement and AASHTO M 85 for type I and type II cement. This cement also meets all applicable ALDOT, FLDOT (Florida Section 921), GADOT, NCDOT and SCDOT specifications for type I and type II cement.
